In this lesson we are learning the letters «meem» and «noon». These letters are considered to be of the easy ones as they have equivalents in English. Here is what they look like:

The letter «meem»

The letter «meem» is the same as the English «m». The letter «meem» with vowels:

This is what the letter «meem» looks like in various positions:

The separate and final forms of the letter «meem» resemble a small circle with a «tail» while the initial and medial spellings have a shape of a circle that can be connected from both right and left depending on its position in a word.

The letter «noon»

The letter «noon» sounds the same as the English «n».

As you can see, «noon» looks similar to «ba» but unlike «ba» the dot of this letter is placed above it.
