The letter «faa»

This letter sounds the same as the English «f». Look at «faa» with vowels:

The letter «qaaf»

The letter «qaaf» has no direct equivalents in English. It comes closest to the «k» sound but «qaaf» is pronounced a little backward in the throat whereas «k» in front of the throat. Denotes a tense «k» sound, when pronounced, the deep part of the palate comes into contact with the root of the tongue. When it is pronounced with fathah i.e the «a» vowel, the «a» sounds a bit like «aw». This letter will also need to be worked out with a teacher. Examples of the letter «qaaf» with vowels:
